No you have it all wrong at the beginning it wiped out all the evil from the world and then Lucien wanted to see if it could be used for evil purposes and at the end once Theresa got it back in good shape and everyone Hammer, Garth, and Reaver left and also the Hero, Sparrow left it started malfunctioning properly again but an order for you to be safe just in case, Theresa didn't want you to come back but only once so she could tell you your future... (Sorry not trying to correct you or anything just trying to tell you the story i thought it was evil at first to though if it helps.)

lol I don't have any idea or clue about the story I worked on this more than 3 years ago at Blur studio , I 'm not even a gamer just a visual effects artist :) , to me it looks pretty evil :P

I have to tell you! Thank you so much for your fine work on this game!! I love the Fable series so much!! :love::love::love: <-- This much and more. :XD: The graphics on this one were so clear and beautiful. I really enjoyed myself and can't wait for the next one!

The Spire wasen't ment to be evil, it was built in the old kingdom to whip out all the evil in the old kingdom and started an era or peace for a short time
