Darkvoid Jungle by JJasso Darkvoid Jungle by JJasso
I love matte paintings that involve extreme weather like in this one making look humid, cold, rainy and still misterius, the foreground is all 3D in 3ds max and mental ray, the mid ground and background are 2D planes in 3D space so I could animate mist and fog clouds in between you can take a look at it here:

Just INSANELY WELL DONE!!! I love anything remotely close to Mayan environments and this certainly lights the creative fire to trade-off sleep and eating to get those images out of my head and onto the screen. Thank you for sharing such phenomenal work Jamie!

I was browsing deviantART, when I came across your portfolio. I was immediately taken by the above matte painting, since I am directing a short film about a woman's adventure in the Royal Navy during the early 1800s that takes place mainly on an Island.

Currently, I am looking to collaborate with an artist that can establish an overall design concept for the film. If you are interested in reading a treatment and scheduling a time for us to talk, please shoot me an
e-mail.

I look forward to hearing from you soon,

All the best,
- Traci

If the parts rendered in 3D could be animated then is it possible to create something like a screen saver from it? I'm asking out of pure curiosity :)

of course it's possible, all the plants and tree branches are moving in the animation

That sounds cool enough to ask whether it's available somewhere over the net to see? Thanks for the reply :)
